The Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Hebrew scriptures made in Alexandria from the 3rd century BCE, takes its name from the Latin for seventy — from a tradition that seventy or seventy-two translators produced it. It is abbreviated LXX for the same reason. The tradition is legendary; the translation is real, and it is the version most New Testament quotations of scripture follow.

70's proper divisors sum to 74, more than 70, but no combination of them totals exactly 70. Almost every abundant number has such a combination, so the ones that do not are called weird.
