Methodology

Mathematical properties

Classifications such as primality, factors, perfect/abundant/deficient status, digit sums, and special sequence membership are computed deterministically from a number's value at request time — never stored as editorial claims, and never disputed.

Significance claims

Historical, cultural, religious, scientific and symbolic claims are stored as individual, sourced records — each carrying a category, an evidence type (documented, widespread, regional, disputed, historical, modern, belief or tradition), a confidence level, a review status, and where relevant a geography, culture, language and date period. We deliberately avoid broad claims like "lucky in Asia" in favour of precise ones, such as a number being considered auspicious in specified Chinese-speaking contexts.

Publication and indexation qualification

A number earns a public profile once it has a genuine direct-answer summary. It earns search indexation only once it also has either confirmed, non-disputed significance evidence, or strong, independently notable mathematical properties — not simply because it exists. This prevents thin, automatically generated pages for every integer.

Significance-discovery pipeline

Candidate facts move through normalisation, duplicate detection, confidence assessment and review before becoming confirmed significance records. High-confidence, non-disputed claims from authoritative sources may be auto-confirmed; everything else — including all belief and tradition content — is queued for human review by default.
