Ownership and scope

Unless stated otherwise, HEKNO Ltd or its licensors own or control applicable rights in Numberwise's original text, editorial work, software, designs, and structured assets — including its database of number profiles, the significance and relationship records behind them, its taxonomy and category system, canonical identifiers, confidence and provenance framework, and the selection and arrangement of all of the above. HEKNO Ltd does not claim ownership of facts as such, public domain material, or third-party rights — see our data sources page for how underlying facts are sourced and attributed.

Copyright and database rights

Copyright protects Numberwise's original expression, software, design, and qualifying selection and arrangement of content. Separate database rights protect the substantial investment HEKNO Ltd has made in obtaining, verifying, and presenting the contents of the Numberwise database. HEKNO Ltd reserves all rights available under applicable law.

Permitted ordinary use

You may browse, bookmark, and use Numberwise lawfully; print a reasonable number of pages for personal reference; and quote limited extracts where permitted by law, with appropriate attribution (see below).

Permission required

Unless applicable law expressly permits it, written permission is required to:

• reproduce substantial content from Numberwise;
• systematically extract, harvest, scrape, crawl, or mirror Numberwise's content or underlying data;
• repeatedly extract insubstantial parts in a way that conflicts with the normal exploitation of the database;
• create or enrich a competing database, knowledge graph, or number-reference service;
• redistribute Numberwise's datasets, taxonomy, relationship mappings, or metadata;
• commercially exploit Numberwise material; or
• remove provenance or rights notices from any content.

AI and text/data mining

HEKNO Ltd does not grant a general licence for using Numberwise content in model training, fine-tuning, evaluation corpora, embeddings, retrieval systems, or synthetic-dataset generation. This policy does not override mandatory legal exceptions where one genuinely applies — anyone relying on such an exception is responsible for satisfying every condition of it. Ordinary public access to a page does not itself grant a commercial training or extraction licence.

Search indexing

Ordinary indexing by search engines is allowed through our robots directives and sitemap. Permission to index for ordinary search purposes does not authorise bulk republication, dataset creation, generative substitution, commercial AI training, or circumvention of the restrictions above.

Attribution

Where reuse is otherwise permitted, the suggested attribution form is: “Source: Numberwise, operated by HEKNO Ltd, [page title], [access date].” Attribution does not by itself cure otherwise unauthorised copying.
