Why 192 is special
The least used of the three, and the reason is not security: 128 is fast enough for almost everything and 256 is the one specifications reach for when they want to sound strong. 192 sits between them with fourteen rounds' worth of the cost and little of the reassurance, so it survives in the standard and rarely in deployment.
